Hey look, I know weddings can be expensive but let’s face it- 30 days from now, no one will remember you gave them a really cool monogrammed box of chocolates to take home . There are places to scrimp and then places to not scrimp. I would never try to say that a bride shouldn’t have a photographer (professional!) nor would I suggest you skip the music, a dj or band is great- but there are probably ways you can trim some of the less important expenses if budgeting is the issue.
A video is so important. I cant’ tell you how many times I’ve had a bride contact me to say- “you caught so many things on tape that we missed” or, “I’m so glad I decided to hire a videographer”. It’s true that many people you already know can make a video with their camera and maybe some of them even know how to do some editing and burn it to a DVD, but unless they’ve invested money in good professional equipment and editing software, the quality just will not be the same.
Besides, knowing you hired a professional means you can relax and enjoy your day and get to see the results in our final product!
